Company history
August 1996 Hucom was founded in August 1996 as a private limited company intended mainly for art-specific translation/publishing and music school operation. Major customers at that time included STUDIO GHIBLI, Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd., and other companies.
September 1999 Hucom made a full-scale entry into the field of general localization services upon the transfer of goodwill from MU K.K.
January 2002 Hucom started administration of the worldfs first gcustomer-translator matchingh website.
May 2002 Hucom increased capital to 21 million yen and was reorganized into a joint stock corporation.
March 2003 Hucom increased capital to 91 million yen.
July 2003 Hucom changed its name to Transmart Inc.
